I made this flower box planter about three years ago and it’s held up great. My wife asked me to paint it black and after prepping it I decided to dress it up a bit with a little more molding. I added two styles to the front creating three equal panels and trimmed the panels with tapered molding. At the bottom I added a simple beard using a hand plane to create the bead molding.
