In this video, I will show you how to make DIY wooden trivets. This is a great beginner woodworking project. This is also a great scrap wood project for all of those small scraps that we all have laying around.
Trivets are a great way to protect your countertops and tables from hot pots and pans. They are also a fun and easy DIY woodworking project for beginners.
Materials:
- Wood (hardwood such as maple or walnut is ideal, but you can also use softwood such as pine)
- Wood glue
- Sandpaper
- Finish (optional)

Instructions:
- Cut the wood to the desired size and shape of your trivets.
- Sand the wood smooth.
- If desired, use a router to add decorative edges to your trivets.
- Glue the pieces of wood together to form the trivets.

Tips:
- For a more durable trivet, use hardwood such as maple or walnut.
- If you are using softwood such as pine, be sure to seal the wood with a finish to prevent it from absorbing water and stains.
